Kate Donohue qualified as a solicitor in 2009, specialising in Family Law, and was previously regional head of the Family Law department in nationwide law firm Simpson Millar.  Kate was called to the English bar in 2017 and is currently ranked as a Leading Junior Counsel by Legal 500.  Kate joined Myersons from 18 St John Street Chambers in Manchester.

Kate has a wealth of experience acting on cases involving divorce, matrimonial finances, children and domestic violence.  She acts for clients on judicial separation and dissolution of civil partnership and has experience of a variety of scenarios including difficulties with service, tracing missing spouses, defending an application to set aside a decree absolute, foreign marriages and foreign divorces.

She also regularly acts on high-net-worth ancillary relief claims and has represented a number of clients with niche business interests requiring complex business valuations as well as high value cases with illiquid assets.  She also advises on private law applications involving children, residence, contact, prohibited steps and specific issue orders.

Kate is currently studying for the Jersey Advocate exams.
